Moved to Toronto, Ontario to start my MA/PhD!
In my primary line of work with Dr. Christina Starmans, I study how we perceive ourselves and others changing over time. I work on questions such as:
How do children view their own and others' preferences changing in the past and future?
How do adults perceive changes in values across generations?
How do children view different psychological traits changing from childhood into adulthood?
How do children revise their moral character evaluations when there are significant changes in behavior over time?
In ongoing collaborations with Dr. Samuel Ronfard, I study how children interpret morally ambiguous situations, such as:
Can children report their uncertainty when intent information is unknown?
Do children think groups or individuals should make moral decisions?

Moved to New Haven, Connecticut to work as a lab manager
Prior to graduate school, I worked as a lab manager for two developmental labs at Yale University. Here I had the opportunity to work on various projects related to infant and child moral and social development.
In an ongoing collaboration with Drs. Paul Bloom & Matti Wilks, I study how non-vegetarian, family vegetarian and independent vegetarian children make moral and social decisions.
My first job as a research coordinator
Before I knew I wanted to study social and moral development, I had a brief stint in neuroscience. I worked as a research coordinator at the Institute for the Study of Child Development at Rutgers University & Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
In this role, I helped with a longitudinal project investigating early biomarkers of autism in premature and low birthweight infants. In addition to maintaining medical records, I did many EEGs on 6-mo, 1-yr, and 2-yr old infants!
As a New Jersey native, it's only fitting to say I completed my undergraduate education at Rutgers University-New Brunswick (go Scarlet Knights!). I majored in psychology with a double minor in cognitive science and women and gender studies. As a transfer student, I only had a small window of opportunity to work as a research assistant in a social psychology research lab. The study I worked on assessed the implicit attitudes of racial minorities using the IAT.
I also got to teach my first class and even got to attend the United Nations 60th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Before transferring, I completed my Associate of Arts degree at Sussex County Community College. Before I was introduced to the research world, I had my eyes set on being a therapist.
Here are some quick fun facts about me!
